About the department

The Department of Prasuti Tantra and Stree Roga focuses on the Ayurvedic science of women’s health, covering gynecology, obstetrics, reproductive health, pregnancy care, childbirth, and postnatal management. The department equips students with comprehensive knowledge and clinical skills required for the effective care of women at different stages of life.

The department emphasizes the management of pregnancy, safe delivery, postpartum care, and treatment of gynecological disorders using classical Ayurvedic principles integrated with modern clinical practices. The curriculum incorporates student-centric and activity-based learning methods to develop competencies in patient interaction, clinical examination, diagnostic decision-making, and treatment planning.

Students receive extensive clinical exposure through OPD and IPD services, enabling them to gain practical experience in obstetric and gynecological care.
