The Department of Kaumarabhritya focuses on the comprehensive Ayurvedic healthcare of children from birth to adolescence. It emphasizes preventive, promotive, and curative pediatric care based on classical Ayurvedic principles.
The department provides academic and clinical training in the diagnosis and management of pediatric disorders, neonatal care, and child development assessment. Students gain hands-on clinical exposure through pediatric OPD, IPD services, and community health programs.
The department also promotes preventive child healthcare through programs such as Suvarnaprashana, nutritional awareness, and parental counselling. The aim is to ensure healthy physical, mental, and immune development of children using Ayurvedic principles and practices.
