Amidst the tranquil hills of Koppa, surrounded by the lush greenery of the Western Ghats, stands A.L.N. Rao Memorial Ayurvedic Medical College — where ancient wisdom breathes in harmony with modern vision.
The journey of A.L.N. Rao Memorial Ayurvedic Medical College, under the aegis of the Aroor Educational Trust (R.), is deeply rooted in the vision and values of its founder, Sri Aroor Ramesh Rao, a philanthropist and educationist. The institution was established in loving memory of his father, Late Sri Aroor Lakshminarayan Rao, whose ideals of service and integrity continue to inspire its path.
Born from a dream not merely to build a college, but to create a sanctuary of holistic learning, Sri Aroor Ramesh Rao envisioned a centre that would preserve the spirit of Ayurveda, empower rural communities, and nurture generations of compassionate healers.
For nearly four decades, his guiding presence has shaped the institution — instilling values of discipline, dedication, and excellence. With youthful energy and a modern outlook, Smt. Namitha Rao, Trustee of the Aroor Educational Trust (R.), carries forward this noble legacy.
