About the Principal
Dr. Harsha N.M., BAMS, MD (Ayu)
Dr. Harsha N.M., is an accomplished academician and administrator with 19 years of undergraduate teaching, 12 years of postgraduate teaching, and 9 years of leadership experience as Principal & Medical Superintendent. Since 04 August 2025, he has been serving as the Principal of A.L.N.Rao Memorial Ayurvedic Medical College, contributing to academic strengthening, institutional development, and student-centered initiatives.
In his previous tenure as Principal, he successfully established three postgraduate departments and achieved Full NABH accreditation (2024) for the teaching hospital—significant milestones reflecting his dedication to academic quality and institutional growth. He has presented research at national and international forums, published scholarly articles, authored major works including the English commentary on Rasayogashatakam, and is currently working on Sanjivani Samrajyam, a critical translation on the therapeutic efficacy of Sanjivani Vati. His research contributions also include a self-financed study on the characterization of Paradayogas, with special reference to Rasasindoora, through Scanning Electron Microscopy, expanding the scientific understanding of classical formulations.
Dr. Harsha has completed significant professional training, including the TTT (Training to Teachers) Programme conducted by the Central Council of Indian Medicine at SDM College of Ayurveda, Hassan (2015), and the Capacity Development Programme in Educational Planning and Administration for AYUSH Principals conducted by NCISM at NIEPA, New Delhi (August 2023). He has also undergone professional training in Manuscriptology, Nadi Vijnana, NPST, Biostatistics, Geriatrics, Kalari Marma Chikitsa, ROTP programs, and Educational Planning under NCISM. He has also delivered six radio talks at Akashavani Mysuru and various private FM channels, contributing to Ayurveda awareness and public education. As an approved PG guide and active resource person, he continues to fortify academic excellence, research culture, and institutional values.
